Biography

Born in Havana, Cuba. Lived in Yucatán, México intermittently from 1990, in Costa Rica in 1995 and in Spain from 1995. He founded Research Groups in the University of Havana – Faculty of Mathematics; the Autonomous University of Yucatán- Faculty of Education and the University of Castilla-La Mancha – Faculty of Computing Engineering Founder and Chair of the Iberic-American Conferences on Technologies for Learning (CcITA) held from 2009. Former international director of the Spain-LatinAmerican Network of Computing for Education. Reviewer at the Spain’s National Agency of Evaluation of Research Projects. Writer of books and several JCR papers on Artificial Intelligence for Education. Director of several PhD and master thesis. Collaborates in the Humboldt International University as coordinator of the Promotion of Research Unit from 2013.
